The course

56 km ultramarathon on a near-circular route around the Cape Peninsula, starting in Newlands, Cape Town. Runs through Muizenberg and Fish Hoek, climbs Chapman's Peak (steep, scenic coastal section), descends into Hout Bay, then climbs again to Constantia Nek — the course's highest point — before a rolling final stretch through Kirstenbosch to the finish at the University of Cape Town campus. A 21.1 km half marathon is also held on the weekend over a separate route through the southern suburbs.
