The course
The Buenos Aires Marathon is a 42.195 km loop road race that starts and finishes at the intersection of Avenida Figueroa Alcorta and Avenida Dorrego in Palermo. The route runs through Palermo, Recoleta and the city center past the Teatro Colon, the Obelisco on Avenida 9 de Julio, Plaza de Mayo and the Casa Rosada, continues to La Boca's Caminito and the Puerto Madero waterfront, then returns north to Palermo. The course is predominantly flat, with a few gradual climbs and an Avenida Sarmiento tunnel late in the race.
