The course
The course starts and finishes near the Philadelphia Museum of Art on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. It runs through Center City and Old City past Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and Penn's Landing along the Delaware River, then follows the Schuylkill River out to Manayunk before looping back along the river to the finish. Terrain is relatively flat with net zero elevation gain; the highest point is about 148 ft, with the two main hills around miles 8-10 and some rolling sections between miles 18-21.
