The course
A flat, fast urban course starting in front of the Osaka Prefectural Government Building and finishing inside Osaka Castle Park. It runs through central Osaka past landmarks including Tenjinbashi-suji shopping street, Midosuji Boulevard, Osaka City Hall, the Central Public Hall, Namba, and Kyocera Dome Osaka. The 2024 redesign reduced turnaround points from five to three, making it faster and smoother. Total elevation change is only about 20-30 m; the surface is road and the course is WA/JAAF/AIMS certified.
