The course
The Dubai Marathon starts on Al Taryam Road near the Dubai Police Academy, heads up Al Sufouh Road past Dubai College Junction and the Palm Island entrance, then turns onto Jumeirah Beach Road for two identical coastal loops past the Burj Al Arab toward the Creek bridge before returning. It finishes in the Police Academy Parade Grounds near the Academy grandstand. The course is completely flat at sea level, with a maximum elevation difference of about 4 meters, making it one of the fastest courses in the world.
