The course
A flat full-loop marathon course through Copenhagen that starts and finishes at the same point (Oster Alle near Faelledparken in recent editions; Islands Brygge harbourfront in earlier editions). The route passes through the inner city, Osterbro, Christianshavn, Vesterbro, Norrebro and Frederiksberg, taking in Rosenborg Castle, the Marble Church, Tivoli Gardens and Nyhavn harbour. Total elevation gain is around 100 metres with wide turns that rarely require breaking stride.
