Delete Your Account & Data

How to permanently delete your Coach Icarus account, what is removed, what is retained, and how long it takes.

This page explains how to request deletion of your Coach Icarus account and the personal data associated with it. You can start a deletion request whether or not you currently have access to the mobile or web app.

How to request deletion

There are two ways to delete your account and data:

  1. In the app. Open Coach Icarus and go to Profile → Account → Delete Account. Confirm the prompt to permanently delete your account. This is the fastest option and removes your data automatically.
  2. By request. If you can no longer sign in or access the app, email us at support@coachicarus.com from the email address associated with your account and ask us to delete your account and data. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request to protect your account.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove the personal data we hold about you, including:

  • Your account profile and login credentials.
  • Health and fitness data imported from connected providers (for example Garmin), such as activities, heart-rate variability, sleep, and training-load metrics.
  • Coaching history, plans, and AI-generated insights tied to your account.
  • Your connection to any linked third-party providers. We also revoke our access to those providers so no further data is imported.
  • App preferences and settings stored against your account.

What is retained, and why

We aim to delete your personal data in full. In limited cases we may retain a minimal amount of information where the law requires it or where we have a legitimate need to do so, including:

  • Security and fraud-prevention records. Limited logs may be retained to detect and prevent abuse and to resolve disputes.
  • Anonymized or aggregated data. Data that can no longer be linked to you may be retained for analytics and to improve the service.

Any retained records are kept only for as long as required by the applicable legal or regulatory obligation, after which they are deleted or anonymized.

Processing timeline

Account deletions requested in the app take effect immediately, and associated data is removed shortly afterward. Email requests are processed within 30 days of us verifying your request. Residual copies in encrypted backups are overwritten on our normal backup rotation, after which no recoverable copy remains. Records we are legally required to keep (see above) are retained for the period required by law and then deleted.
